INSTALLATION SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

Don't install the chiller outdoors
Place the chiller in a well ventilated area away from flammables, high temperature, direct sunshine, moisture or dust. Max. operating room temp. is 95 deg. F.
Place the unit on a stable, flat, even horizontal surface.
Don't store the chiller in a closed location that does not receive air flow such as a closet or cabinet. Clearance of at least 8 in. in the front and 16 in. in the back of the chiller are needed for proper air flow.
Don't cover the chiller while in operation. Do not place items on top of unit.
The chiller does not include a water pump. Do not use a pump with more than 19 ft. of head pressure rating. It may cause water leakage or other damage.
Do not put the unit upside down, it will cause damage to the unit. If the unit is mover for any reason, you must wait for 20 minutes before turning unit on.
Do not operate chiller if you smell smoke or there is burning.
Do not use extension cords. Keep all connections dry and off the ground.
Do not allow water or salt to come in contact with thermostat or power cord.

INSTALLATION:

Plug chiller into a dedicated GFCI outlet.
If installed in a sealed cabinet, drill holes in alignment with vents on chiller.
Must be at least 8 in. from each side of cabinet walls.
For best results, do not place in a cabinet.
Must be used with filtered water.
Do not operate without water flow to the unit

PROGRAMMING:

Before turning chiller on and once all connections are made, circulate water through chiller for 30 minutes before turning unit on. Check all connections and pump for function, leakage and obstruction. There are three buttons for switching or setting the temp on the control/command panel.
AQUARIUM TEMP DISPLAYS & SETTING TEMP DISPLAYS: After pressing "SET" button, the indicator "1" will appear and indicate the previously set temp on the display, press the "SET " button once again and the indicator light "1" will turn off and the aquarium water temp will appear on the display. The round light flickers to point out the set temp.
ADJUSTING THE SET TEMPERATURE: Press the "SET" button for 5 seconds and the previous set temp will be displayed. Press the triangle up button to increase the temp or triangle down button to decrease the temp. Temp can be set between 39 deg. F and 82 deg. F. After new temp has been programmed, press the"SET" button again or just wait for 8 seconds for the current tank water temp to appear on the display.
CHILLER RESETTING PROTECTION: Protection is provided within the chiller. The device gives the refrigeration compressor a cooling period of 3 minutes after resetting for the first time. After that, cooling period is 1 minute.
AUTO ON/ OFF FEATURE: When compressor stops working for over 3 minutes and the water temp is 2 deg F. above the set temp, the compressor turns on automatically. Indicator light "7" shows that the chiller is working. Light turns off when set temp is reached and chiller has stopped working. Light flickers 3 times when chiller protection device is on.
DO NOT CLEAN WITH DETERGENTS OR SUBMERSE.
TO CLEAN FILTER: Remove screws from front draft hood (below digitial display). Clean filter with vacuum cleaner or rinse with ONLY WATER. LET DRY COMPLETELY before reinstalling.
