Cichlid Fish Foods
Cichlid species (including discus, angelfish, oscars, etc.) have specialized diets, and unique eating habits (e.g. voracious appetites and territorial behavior), so research your species to determine what and how best to feed them. Cichlid fish food comes in a range of types; some are meant for all cichlids, others for specific cichlids or diets. Herbivorous cichlids like the Mbuna should get regular algae, seaweed or spirulina supplements, and carnivorous cichlids will benefit from freeze-dried supplements (omnivorous cichlids appreciate both!).
