Cichlid Lake Salt is a chemically sound
blend of salts designed to simulate the natural environment of cichlids. It
contains all physiologically essential elements such as magnesium, calcium,
sodium, potassium, including trace components as iron, manganese and iodide. It
does not contain harmful of unnecessary ingredients such as nitrates, phosphates
or arsenic. Treats up to 130 gallons.
Instructions:
Use when setting up an aquarium and when making water changes. To add salt to an
established tank, do so when making water changes basing dose on water being
changes (not aquarium volume). It is best to predissolve the salt in freshwater
before use. Use 15 grams (4 tsp) for each 10 gallons of freshwater to duplicate
Tanganyika conditions. Use 7.5 (2 tsp) for each 10 gallons for Malawi
conditions. Use 5 grams(1 1/2 tsp) for Victoria conditions. Conditions for
Central and South American Cichlids vary widely, but the Malawi and Victoria
dose will benefit most of these cichlids.
