Coralife's Hydrometer takes a true water
sample at six inch depth. Easy to read and accurate, this specific gravity meter
is designed to give temperature-corrected readings in warm water aquariums.
Includes a self-leveling, hanging device and allows your hands to stay dry,
avoiding contamination of aquarium.
Instructions:
Submerge hydrometer approximately six inches below. When water reaches the
fill-line level (top of dam) remove hydrometer and place on a level surface. Air
bubbles adhering to the pointer will result in inaccurate, high readings. Gently
tap hydrometer to dislodge any air bubbles. Read specific gravity on inside
scale and salinity in parts per thousand (ppt) on outside scale. Recommended
specific gravity is 1.020 to 1.023 for most marine aquariums. Rinse with
freshwater after every use.
Specifications:
Before using, fill the hydrometer with salty water ad allow it to sit for 24
hours to season the needle.
