Elos Aqua Magnesium Test Kit gives you over 50 tests for your marine tank, depending on magnesium level. Each kit tests at 50 mg/l increments. Kits are lab tested for accuracy so you know your results are correct. Reagents are not toxic, unlike other kits.
InstructionsShake each reagent bottle before use. 1.1 Rinse the test vial in tap water; then several times with the aquarium water. Fill it with the aquarium water sample up to 3 mL using the measuring syringe. 1.2 Add reagent Magnesium A drop by drop (count the drops), Swirl the test vial after each drop in order to mix the liquid throughly. Continue to add the drops of reagent until you have obtained a stable change of colour from red-orange into green colour. Close the reagent flask immediately. 1.3 Wait until the coloration is stable at least 30 seconds. 1.4 Take note of the number of drops. 2.1 Rinse the test vial in tap water; then several times with the aquarium water. Fill it with the aquarium water sample up to 3 mL using the measuring syringe. 2.2 Add 5 drops of reagent Magnesium B (close the reagent cap immediately). 2.3 Close the test vials with the plastic stopper and shake the solution for a few seconds. 2.4 Remove the plastic stopper and add, to the test sample, a dosage spoonful of powdered reagent Magnesium C. 2.5 Close the test vials with the plastic stopper and shake the solution for a few seconds ( it does not matter if the powder has not completely dissolved and remainds cloudy). Remove the plasticstopper from the vial. 2.6 Repete as per pont 1.2 and 1.3 using, this time the reagent D until you have obtained a stable changeof colur from pink-violet into light blue color. 2.7 Subtract the number of drops by the number obtained in point at 1.4. < 2.8 Multiple the difference by 50. The result indicates the approxmiMagnesium content in MG/lt ( 1 drop equals 50 mg/Lt. 2.9 Rinse the test vial and the measuring syringe with RO water.
