Fluval Foam provides mechanical straining
of particulate waste. It prevents particulate waste from prematurely clogging
other filter media in the Module Stack. Although the primary purpose of Fluval
Foam is mechanical filtration, biological activity will eventually occur within
its pore structure.
Instructions:
Rinse foam monthly or as needed to retain biological activity. However remember
to rinse foam in aged aquarium water so very little biological bacteria is lost.
Also when replacing the foam replace the cartridges alternately so that the
biological activity will remain in place.
