Metal Halide Aquarium Light Fixtures
Metal halide lighting fixtures use either single or double ended (HQI) halide bulbs for the most intense lighting possible. Metal halide lighting fixtures also create the celebrated glittering effect of sunlight shining through waves onto a shallow reef. They are perfect for light-loving corals, invertebrates and aquatic plants and will show off your marine tank to its fullest potential.
Metal halide lighting fixtures run hot and should be used at a safe distance from your water's surface, or with tempered glass; they often come with cooling fans but you may need a chiller depending on your aquarium. Many of these fixtures include actinic and/or lunar lighting to provide the full spectrum of what your aquarium will need daily to thrive.
