Hikari's Ich-X is a potent treatment for freshwater or marine ich that will show quick results. Ich-X uses a less toxic form of malachite green than you may encounter in other medications.
Use a smaller quarantine tank to treat afflicted fishes. Immediate 50% or greater water changes should be made if stress is observed among afflicted fishes. Not safe for many invertebrates; use caution if treating a tank with inverts, or avoid through quarantine.
Add 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of water. Remove activated carbon from filters and clean or replace mechanical filtration media (do not stop filtration); make at least 1/3 water change before each addition of product; repeat treatments at least every 24 hours, but no more often than every 8 hours, depending upon the course of the disease. Do not overdose!
