Aquarium Guys was founded in early 2004 in order to provide fellow aquarists with the best in high quality aquarium supplies at low prices. We are based just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our number one goal is customer satisfaction and we try to meet this goal by providing low prices on a wide range of products and by providing quality customer service. We currently ship to the USA only. We do not have any print catalogs at this time.
Q: How are your prices so low?
A: Aquariumguys.com, Birdguys.com and PetSupplyGuys.com are strictly online businesses. This allows us to cut many of the costs associated with multichannel and brick-and-mortar pet supply stores. We also save costs by marketing strictly to the customers we already have through email. We pass these savings along to our customers by providing a lower everyday price.

Q. What are your shipping rates and why do you use FedEx instead of USPS?
A: Our shipping rates are plain and simple, and calculated simply by the cost of your order. We have no oversize charges. The chart below references standard FedEx rates.If you're looking for more detailed shipping rates, check out our policies page. As for our preference for FedEx, as a company, we were able to negotiate better rates with FedEx than with USPS. Though we can still ship USPS, our standard rates are displayed with FedEx to save the customer as much as possible.
