Instructions Remove activated carbon from filter and continue aeration. Add 1 teaspoon per 5 gallon of water. Wait 48 hours, then change 25% of the aquarium water and add fresh activated carbon. Treatment may be hastened by raising the temperature to 82 degrees because the life cycle of the ich parasite is accelereated as water temperature rises.
