Marine Actinic Blue Standard Fluorescent Bulbs
Marine actinic blue fluorescent bulbs produce only the blue range of the spectrum - the wavelengths that travel furthest in water. Use marine actinic blue fluorescent bulbs to supplement daylight fluorescents if you have a low-light mini reef or saltwater tank (the daylight bulbs will keep other organisms happy and make your tank appear normal instead of bluish). Cichlid species will also enjoy actinic lighting as they don't like bright light.
Higher intensity actinic bulbs are available in our HO/VHO fluorescent, compact fluorescent and
metal halide bulb sections for deeper marine tanks and light-loving reefs. 50/50 bulbs are also available in most sections (half actinic, half daylight spectrum lighting).
