Marine Buffer is the original and still
unique buffer with a pH of 8.3, designed to adjust pH to 8.3 and maintain both
pH and alkalinity (KH). It is formulated not to disrupt the natural ionic
balance of marine water with prolonged use. Contains a natural balance of
sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium salts of carbonate, bicarbonate, and
borate, formulated for enhanced and lasting buffer capacity at pH 8.3 without
sacrificing calcium. It dissolves readily and does not obscure water clarity.
Treats up to 4,000 gallons.
Instructions:
Add 1 level tsp. for each 20 gallons. Dissolve in at least 1 cup of freshwater.
This dose will also raise the alkalinity by about 1 meg/L. Add daily until pH
stabalizes at 8.3. This can take from a day to a week, depending on original pH
and alkalinity. Thereafter, use biweekly or monthly to maintain a pH of 8.3.DO
NOT DIRECTLY MIX WITH CALCIUM, MAGNESIUM OR STRONTIUM SUPPLEMENT.
