The Micro Clean 316 is a fully
submersible internal filter for fresh and saltwater aquariums and turtle tanks
up to 30 gallons. The filter provides mechanical, biological and chemical
filtration with easy to replace filter cartridges.A mechanical sponge,
biological foam, and carbon pellets are included with the filter. The flow rate
is adjustable from 30 to 55 gph and uses just 4 watts.
This internal mini-filter includes 3 small suction cups for mounting and a water
diverted. It can be placed in the tank horizontally and vertically. When placed
in the tank horizontally the diverse outflow can be used with the included water
diverted to form a fountain or 1/2" tubing can be used to create a small
waterfall.
Instructions:
Attach the suction cups on the filter and mount the filter to the aquarium where
goodwater circulation is appropriate. Rotate the valve toward the minimum or
maximum indicator as necessary. Do not let the filter run dry. Maintenance:
Periodically clean the filter, the rotor and the pump chamber to remove any
debris, which could block the unit. It is recommender to replace the filter
cartridge after 3 or 4 risings or when it appears to be damaged to ensure the
maximum efficiency. The activated carbon in the cartridge will lose its
efficiency over aperiod of time depending on the pollution of its location. It
is therefore recommendedthat the carbon is replaced at least once a month. If
necessary the container can be filled with zeolite or any other material as
required.The motor is fully encapsulated and self protected against overheating
and needs no particular care. If the pump fails to work, check first the
electrical supply, connections, and circuit breaker. If these are correct, the
pump needs to be cleaned.Prior to any work on the unit, disconnect all
electrical equipment from the power. Remove the filter from the motor housing
and open it. Pull off the rotor from its location and wash all the components
with the help of a non-metallic brush. If necessary remove lime-scale by leaving
the components immersed in vinegar or rinse it under luke-warm water.Do not wash
the chemical media container unless your are replacing the media. Reassemble the
unit so that all the components are placed in their original position.
