Purple Up is a unique trace element supplement by Carib Sea that promotes growth and vibrant colors in purple & pink coralline algae, which grow coral-like skeletal structures, live harmoniously on the reef and contribute beneficially to reef biology and the beauty of your aquarium. Purple Up will not encourage undesired algae. It supplies ionic calcium and 10 micron aragonite for a calcium boost, as well as iodine for bright, saturated colors. Purple Up supplements trace elements that are important for the rest of your reef invertebrates as well. For tanks with large bioloads, you will probably have to supplement with additional trace elements - always test levels to be sure.
Instructions:
Shake well before use.
Add 1 capful (5ml) per 50 gallons, no more than once daily. Place in the sump, near a powerhead outlet or any high flow area of the system for rapid dispersal. Some temporary cloudiness will appear.
Check calcium levels regularly, adjust dosage to maintain calcium levels between 380 ppm and 420 ppm. Do not exceed 420 ppm on a regular basis or significant precipitation will ocurr.
Important! Wait at least one hour after using this product to test calcium levels or erroneously high calcium levels may be indicated.
