This product is intended primarily for
use in a reef system where it is often difficult to maintain a pH of 8.3. Reef
Buffer will raise the pH to 8.3 without overshooting the pH to a dangerous
level. It will also raise carbonate alkalinity. This product is a blended
product and is not just sodium carbonate. Reef Builder should be used to raise
alkalinity when pH is not a problem.
Treats 4000 gallons of water.
Instructions:
Check pH and alkalinity before use. Use 1 level measure for every 2 gallons to
raise pH by about 0.1 pH units, this will also raise alkalinity by about 0.05
meg/L. Dissolve in at least 1 cup of freshwater before adding to aquarium. Well
established reef systems may need pH adjustments biweekly or semiweekly.
