Seachem Lab's Metronidazole treatment is the purest form of crystalline metronidazole available, and it will eradicate many of the nasty protozoan infections that commonly attack tropical fish, including Hole in the Head(hexamita), marine Ich(crytocaryon), and freshwater Ich(ichthyophthirius, or white spot disease). It's also a powerful treatment for many anaerobic bacterial diseases. Despite its potency, there's little risk of overdosage, and it is tolerated well by most invertebrates.
Metronidazole will not damage your filter bed, and it is easily removed from your tank through chemical filtration, carbon being the best choice.
Use 1–2 measures (each about 100 mg) for every 40 L (10 gallons). Measurer included. Repeat every 2 days until symptoms disappear.
Turn off UV, ozone, and chemical filtration. To feed, blend 1 measure with about 1 tablespoon of frozen food paste. If concerned about delicate invertebrates in your tank, use with a binding polymer such as Focus. Food may be refrozen.
