In a well balanced reef aquarium a detectable amount of silica in the freshwater source is acceptable. If bloom occurs measures should be taken to purify the water. This test kit is good for fresh and salt water aquariums. Kit includes 3 reagents, a test tube with stopper, color scale and instructions. Measures both silicate and silica. Does approximately 50 tests.
