Blackwater Extract recreates the natural water conditions of black water environments such as the Amazon River, where acids leached from the plants on the riverbanks create soft water with a light yellow tint. Many tropical fish come from environments like this and recreating these conditions promotes their health, natural coloration, and encourages spawning with increased hatch size.
Blackwater Extract contains essential trace elements, vitamins, and extract of peat, tropical root, bark and wood. Add with every water change like any water conditioner (will color your water light yellow). This product enhances live plant growth, retards algae growth, and is ideal for soft water fish including discus and angelfish.
Instructions:
Use 10 ml for each 10 gallons of water (ML scale is on side of package for easy dosing). Add with bi-weekly water changes.
In areas of very hard water double the dose.
