Turbo-Driven Protein Skimmers
A turbo protein skimmer operates by drawing air into the impeller system of a water pump. Here, a needle-wheel style impeller chops air into the water, creating a bubble rich froth that is then pushed into the chamber of the skimmer. Turbo-driven protein skimmers often use a combination turbo-venturi system, or include a counter-current system. Turbo-driven protein skimmers are driven by water pumps, and many come with one included.
